Make sure your antivirus software is up to date.
Despite of detecting security threats, an antivirus software also notifies small business owners if any breach occurs. Basically, antivirus software is used to safeguard a computer from malware, including viruses, computer worms, and Trojan horses. Antivirus software may also remove or prevent spyware and adware, along with other forms of malicious programs. Therefore, SMB owners should always ensure that the anti-virus software they are using is up to date to keep the business safe. They can enable the automatic anti-virus update feature so the system can identify the latest viruses that pose a threat to systems and business in general.
2. Discuss cybersecurity protocols with your employees
As we know, Prevention is better than cure.
Therefore, we cannot only rely on technology rather we should also train our employees about cybersecurity and protocols involved in it. The major defense is employees itself. 6. Always backup your data
Well, even if you are following all the strategies, still always backup your data. You can have online backup data option as well which is common these days, and is known as Cloud Backup Service. This is a method of offsite data storage in which files, folders or the entire contents of a hard drive are regularly backed up on a remote server or computer with a network connection. Be it business data or personal, backing up your data always help from the risk of loss associated with fire, theft, hacking or any other kind of technological disasters.
